 About : Cape Verde

Located in the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of Senegal, western Africa, Cape Verde comprises a total of 10 islands and 8 islets the main islands being: Santo Antao, Sao Vincente, Santa Luzia, Sao Nicolau, Sal and Boa Vista.

The larger and more developed islands of Praia and Sal are seeing the majority of construction, with the developments being built in an environmentally aware, low-density manner that has the government's backing and is intended to create a sustainable future, avoiding the boom-and-bust culture that many resorts have experienced around the world.

The Cape Verde climate is mainly tropical and dry therefore offering excellent weather all year round although the islands do have a rainy season during August, September and October with a standard temperature of around 25 to 30 degrees.

The warm African waters are host to spectacular coral reefs and present fantastic
opportunities for diving, swimming with dolphins and turtles, whale watching as well as the more usual array of water sport activities .

Hailed as the new Caribbean - but considerably closer, Cape Verde is said to become the top tourist destination in Africa with direct flights from the UK a comfortable five and a half hours journey. In 2006 the islands experienced an influx of buyers who have been spurred on by it’s excellent property prices offering the prospect of high capital growth and strong rental returns.

Property prices start t around £40,000 for a studio apartment, rising to around £70,000 for a 1 bedroom apartment, and in excess of £120,000 for a beachside villa in a good location.

With Overseas Property Unlimited.com you now have the opportunity to purchase in an emerging property market and, as developments are still in the early stages, now is the ideal time to invest.
